B&G – Sustained Growth

In October 2006, B&G announced its decision to double the production capacity of its plant in Bengbu (China) within a 12 months period.

This project is well on schedule and the first volumes from this capacity extension will already be available in September this year. It will allow B&G to support the growing market of lactic acid as well as the rapid expansion of emerging segments such as the feed industry and PLA (Poly-Lactic Acid, a biodegradable polymer made of lactic acid).

Besides capacity increase, B&G remains on the cutting edge of new technological developments in order to ensure competitiveness and the highest quality standards for the best satisfaction of its customers.

BANGICID in detergent descaling

The detergents industry is subjected to many requirements like increased safety, improved effectiveness and environmentally friendly ingredients. Thanks to its excellent descaling properties, BANGICID is well-suited for use in detergents such as machine descaler and more generally household cleaners.

BANGICID is the best descaling agent compared with other safe organic acids (i.e. glycolic or citric acid). BANGICID is twice more active than citric acid and the most cost-effective safe organic acid for such applications. (Application Sheet)

BANGICID in teat dip formulatio

Mastitis is one of the costliest diseases of the dairy industry caused by pathogenic microorganisms that enter the udder through the teat end and streak canal. As one of the most effective methods to control mastitis, teats disinfection with teat dips is widely used in dairy industry.

Thanks to its characteristics, BANGICID is safe and ideal to be used in teat dips formulations. In teat dips, lactic acid acts as bacteriostatic agent, forms perlactic acid, and reduces skin irritation. It is safer and more stable than acetic acid.

Blends of lactic acid and sodium lactate show excellent buffering properties maintaining pH stable during teats treatment. (Application sheet)
